WOODBURY, Minn. - A new movie theater is bringing the service to your seat -- and noisy neighbors out the door.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, which opens soon in Woodbury, boasts of local craft beer, locally sourced menu items and a variety of film choices, from cult classics to new releases.

"This is beyond seeing a movie," COO of Alamo Drafthouse, Bill DiGaetano, said. "It's a full experience."

There's no concession stand here. Instead you'll find order slips and menus at the tables situated in front of reclining theater seats. Movie goers are encouraged to come at least 30 minutes early to be able to chat with their server, ask questions about the menu and begin ordering their food and drinks.

When the lights go down as the film begins, every effort is made to eliminate disruption. Orders can continue to be placed but guests are asked to write them down on an order form, which will be picked up by a server.

That disruption effort also applies to its guests. There's a very strictly enforced "no talking, no texting" rule during films. You get one warning -- and if you break the rule again, you'll be ejected from the film, without a refund.

Guests are even encouraged to report noisy behavior -- the order forms double as a way to communicate with the server or management on neighbors who may be disruptive during the film.

Tickets for the films range from $8-$11, with the exception of Tuesdays, where tickets are $5 all day.

Classic cinema is highly celebrated at Alamo -- and events correlate with those films. From interactive "party presentations" of cult classics to a menu paired specifically for a certain film, Alamo hopes to bring the movie-going experience to another level.

The Woodbury location will feature nine screens, all with reclining seats and full-service menus. The largest theater is massive, boasting 232 reclining seats and a 4K laser projection.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is offering a limited number of showings for $5 and 25 percent off concessions (excluding alcoholic beverages) from Sunday, July 22 to Thursday, July 26 to help celebrate their official opening. The first full day of programming starts Friday, July 27.

The Woodbury location marks the company's 36th spot.
