College student wins $1M Powerball prize via app

Only two weeks after the new lottery app, Jackpocket, launched Brandon Stevenson has claimed the largest mobile app prize ever claimed in the state, or the country.

A 20-year-old Concordia University student recently bought a Powerball ticket on his smartphone that won him $1 million.

Only two weeks after the new lottery app, Jackpocket, launched Brandon Stevenson has claimed the largest mobile app prize ever claimed in the state, or the country.

According to lottery officials, Stevenson does not regularly play the lottery but decided to give it a whirl on Jackpocket. On Wednesday night, he correctly got all five numbers correct, except the social ball, and secured the big prize.
