The Good Neighbor Center (GNC) is a nonprofit tutoring and mentoring program located at 441 Rice Street in St. Paul, MN. We offer academic enrichment and mentoring to young people grades K-12, year-round. We serve a thriving community of young people of color, the majority of which come from a refugee or immigrant background. In addition, many of our young people and their families have English as a second or even third language.
The Good Neighbor Center is looking for volunteers.

The program is free to all who want to learn, and our goal is to provide enrichment opportunities for young people with fewer economic resources in an effort to decrease the incidence of the ‘achievement’ gap, which often stems from a lack of opportunities for enrichment, due to systemic factors.
GNC holds programming each week on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm. GNC provides a free meal to our community of young people, their families, and volunteers at the beginning of the tutoring evening. We generally do a lot of homework help and literacy and math practice. We also have a plethora of supplies and books for mentors to use with the young people. Come on down to check us out!
