GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Find a way to give back to your community on Make A Difference Day!

Make A Difference Day is one of the largest annual single-days of service nationwide and will take place on Saturday, Oct. 22. The event is nationally sponsored by TEGNA, the Arby's Foundation and Points of Light.

Here are some great ways to make a difference here in Minnesota on Make A Difference Day:

KARE 11 and C.H. Robinson are coming together to support Open Arms of Minnesota, a non-profit that prepares and delivers meals to people living with life-threatening illnesses in the Twin Cities. KARE 11 employees and C.H. Robinson employees will come together and spend the day volunteering with Open Arms and members of the community are invited to join us!

Volunteers will be preparing and delivering food, packing a variety of care kits, planting tulip and daffodil bulbs and more. Click here to sign up for a volunteering shift. Space is limited.

Another great event to participate in on October 22 is the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center's Running HOME for Jacob 5K at Lake Phalen Park in St. Paul.

The event will feature a 5K run/walk, youth race and many activities for families. The youth race begins at 9 a.m. followed by the 5K run/walk at 10 a.m.
