SHERBURNE COUNTY, Minn. — Sherburne County deputies interrupted a home burglary in progress and arrested two people Monday, according to Sheriff Joel Brott.

A man and a woman broke into an unoccupied home on the 3400 block of 57th Street Southeast in Haven Township, police said.

A person who was checking on the home called 911 at 4:52 p.m. to report vehicles near the residence that did not belong there, and a door that had been kicked in on a detached garage.

Deputies responded and arrested a 35-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman who they found inside the home.

The suspects were booked at Sherburne County Jail and could face charges of burglary and criminal damage to property, Brott said.
