MINNEAPOLIS — A Minneapolis father who prosecutors say physically and sexually abused his daughters for several years has pleaded guilty to three charges.

Jerry Curry, who will turn 53 this month, pleaded guilty to felony first-degree criminal sexual conduct and first-degree assault, and gross misdemeanor child endangerment.

According to the criminal complaint, Curry and his wife Sheila Wilson lived in a home with their twin 20-year-old daughters, both vulnerable adults, and a 10-year-old daughter.

The criminal complaint alleges that Curry repeatedly physically abused the older daughters, sometimes locking them up with chains, and sexually abused one of them.

The criminal complaint states that the younger daughter said she was struck in the head with a golf club once by Curry. She observed the abuse of her sisters regularly, according to the complaint.

As part of his plea, Curry pleaded guilty to raping his daughter in 2017. He also acknowledged hitting his other daughter so severely that she suffered eye damage. Finally, he admitted that his 10-year-old daughter had witnessed physical abuse that would cause her mental and emotional harm.

As part of the plea deal, Curry pleaded guilty to aggravating circumstances, but prosecutors dropped several other assault and abuse charges, and stalking charges.

Curry will serve 20 years in prison, and 10 years of supervised release. His wife, Sheila Wilson, has pleaded guilty to felony criminal neglect, and will be sentenced March 11.
