DES MOINES, Iowa — Hy-Vee is investigating a data security incident involving their payment processing systems.
The sections that may have been affected include fuel pumps, drive-thru coffee shops, and restaurants.
Hy-Vee said in a statement that they detected unauthorized activity in some of their payment processing systems.
Hy-Vee believes the actions they have taken thus far have stopped the unauthorized activities.
Grocery stores, drugstores and purchases made inside the convenience stores are not a concern for this breach since they use a different "point-of-sale" system, according to Hy-Vee.
