Investigators say this pickup ran up over a curb and right through the front wall of Nicollet Plumbing and Heating.

NICOLLET, Minn. — Police have identified the owner of a pickup that crashed into a small town business in Nicollet County thanks to tips from the public.

The building is in need of significant repairs after the pickup crashed through its facade.

The incident happened Sunday, July 14 in the city of Nicollet, and the whole thing was captured on videotape. Nicollet County Sheriff's Investigator Marc Chadderdon says the vehicle, a dark 3/4 or one ton pickup, ran up over the curb and through the wall of Nicollet Plumbing and Heating. Chadderdon says it's an unusual vehicle, equipped with a brush guard/cow catcher with some type of roll bar behind the rear cab.

When asked if alcohol may have been involved, the deputy said he doesn't know but added that the plumbing business is right next to a bar, which he believes was about the only business open at the time of the crash. He added that it's not the first time this business has been hit by a vehicle.
