MINNEAPOLIS — A man has died after being shot in Minneapolis' north side.   

Police officers were called to the 4600 block of Lyndale Ave. N. around 4:45 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived on scene, officers found a man in his 30s suffering from a gunshot wound. 

According to a press release, officers worked to save the man's life until they were relieved by firefighters. 

The victim was taken to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale, where police say he died several hours later.     

The name of the victim has not been released. 

Police say a person who was originally detained in the case has been released.

No one is in custody.
