MAPLE GROVE, Minn. — Maple Grove police have recovered a stolen vehicle after a Maple Grove home invasion they say happened Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to a 911 call on the 16800 block of 80th Place North at about 10:30 a.m. Police say a suspect broke into a home, and the homeowner was forced to give up her purse and car keys. The suspect then fled in the homeowner's vehicle, according to police.
Police said the homeowner was verbally confronted while she was in the shower, and that no assault took place.
Police have recovered the unoccupied vehicle in Minneapolis.
Police describe the suspect as a black man in his early 20s, between 5'2" and 5'4" with a stocky build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and gray cargo pants.
Police are asking the public to call 911 if they have information on the case.
