ST PAUL, Minn. — A training session for the St. Paul Fire Department's (SPFD) tactical rescue team over the weekend became a costly exercise when someone stole a bunch of equipment.

The crew from Rescue Squad 3 was training at Mounds Park bluffs Sunday afternoon when a kit of ropes, carabiners and pulleys was stolen. The equipment is valued at around $4,000.

To underline the importance of the equipment, SPFD posted on its Facebook page a list of some recent operations the team has been involved in, like a trench rescue in Minneapolis, rope rescues in St. Paul and last week's structural collapse response on West 7th.
