Serial business burglar sought in White Bear Lake

Sergeant Dale Hager tells KARE 11 that the man seen in the photos is suspected in at least a dozen attempted burglaries across the metro, three or more involving Mexican restaurants.

WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. - A man White Bear Lake Police call a serial burglar is causing damage to businesses across the metro, and investigators hope new surveillance images will bring an end to his crime spree.

Captain Dale Hager tells KARE 11 that the man seen in the photos is suspected in at least a dozen attempted burglaries across the metro, three or more involving Mexican restaurants. The suspect gets in any way he can, frequently smashing windows.

"This guy has had limited success in terms of what he's gotten away with," explains Hager, "but the major issue we see for the business owners is that they're out thousands of dollars by having to replace all the damage done by this guy."

Hager says they've received a number of calls since this story first aired on KARE 11 News at Ten, but he's hoping to hear from more people who know about this one-man crime wave.
