ST PAUL, Minn. — Seven juveniles were charged on Thursday in connection with an assault and kidnapping incident in St. Paul on Sunday.

According to the Ramsey County Attorney's Office, four of the juveniles charged were over the age of 16 and the other three were 15 years old. KARE 11 does not disclose the names of juveniles.

Court documents say the suspects approached the victim, who was in his van when he was attacked by the group of juveniles. The incident occurred just before 2:30 p.m. near the 500 block of Virginia St.

The victim was heading out to dinner with his family when the juveniles assaulted him, stole his wallet and then one of the suspects hopped in the van and drove it a "short distance," according to the criminal complaint.
