AITKIN COUNTY, Minn. — A body discovered on private property in northeastern Minnesota is likely a missing woman authorities have been looking for.
The deceased person was found Tuesday afternoon on private land near Swartara, which is in Aitkin County. A news release from the Aitkin County Sheriff's Office says investigators believe the body is that of Michelle Mae, a woman from Outing, MN who had not been heard from since October 3.
The body was transported to the Ramsey County Coroners Office for an autopsy. At this moment there are no early indications on cause of death.
