1 dead after shooting in St. Paul

The victim has not been identified yet. As of 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, no arrests have been made.

ST PAUL, Minn. — One man is dead after a shooting in St. Paul's Summit-University neighborhood. 

The shooting happened at about 8:45 p.m. on Thursday night on the 700 block of Carroll Avenue near Dale Street North. 

Authorities found the man already wounded inside a car. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. Despite efforts made by officers, he died on the scene.

The victim has not been identified yet. As of 5:30 a.m. on Friday, no arrests have been made.

The investigation is still open. This is the fifth homicide of 2019 in St. Paul.
