Street racers do burnouts in downtown Minneapolis, dispersed by police

MINNEAPOLIS — Street racers took over the streets of downtown Minneapolis to do burnouts Sunday evening before being dispersed by police.

Skidmarks can be seen on the Hennepin Avenue Bridge.

Witnesses say they saw police open up fire hydrants in an attempt to clear the cars.

The situation seems to have stabilized as of 10 p.m. Sunday.
