Suspect sought in UW-River Falls sexual assault

The victim described her assailant as a white male between 20 and 30 who smelled of alcohol. He was driving a pickup truck of unknown make, model or color.

RIVER FALLS, Wis. — Police are warning students and staff at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls following a sexual assault at an on-campus parking lot Monday. 

The UWRF community received an alert informing them about the attack, which happened in the area of J parking lot at 561 Third Street around 6:30 a.m. The victim described her assailant as a white male between 20 and 30 who smelled of alcohol. He was driving a pickup truck of unknown make, model or color.

There are no security cameras near parking lot J, but there are two emergency phones within 600 feet of the scene.  

Campus police are advising students to walk in groups and be aware of their surroundings. Anyone who witnessed the incident or knows who may be responsible for the attack is asked to call University Police at 715-425-3133.
