PLYMOUTH, Minn. - Hundreds of Twin Cities cyclists are gearing up to ride in the fourth Great Cycle Challenge USA to benefit Children’s Cancer Research Fund.

A group ride in Plymouth at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 2 at Mount Olivet Church kicks off the month-long fundraising event, and everyone is welcome to ride. Great Cycle Challenge encourages each rider to set a personal mileage goal for the month and ask their friends, family and colleagues to sponsor them through financial donations.

Founded in 2015, Great Cycle Challenge USA has quickly grown to become one of the biggest cycling events in the country, with more than 76,000 riders from all 50 states participating in the last three years. This year’s goal is for 48,000 riders to raise $5.5 million.

Proceeds from Great Cycle Challenge USA have helped jumpstart and advance research at some of the nation’s top childhood cancer research centers, including the University of Minnesota. Learn more at www.GreatCycleChallenge.com.
