E. coli closes Carver Lake Beach

Four Minneapolis beaches still remain closed because of high bacteria levels.

WOODBURY, Minn. — As several Minneapolis beaches remain closed after tests revealed high bacteria levels, another metro area location is closing for the same reason.

The City of Woodbury says Carver Lake Beach is closed after routine testing found E. coli in Carver Lake.

Carver Lake Beach will reopen after tests show bacteria levels are safe for swimmers.

According to the city, officials are not aware of anyone getting sick from the water.

Testing revealed that bacteria levels are still too high on four Minneapolis beaches, including Lake Hiawatha Beach, 32nd Street Beach, Thomas Beach, and the North Beach along Bde Maka Ska.
