Electric Fetus celebrates 50 years on the Twin Cities music scene

The family-owned, independent record shop is marking the milestone with a concert, party and more.

MINNEAPOLIS -- It's been an iconic spot in the Twin Cities music scene for the last five decades.

Now, Electric Fetus is celebrating 50 years and inviting music lovers to join the fun.

The party begins Saturday, June 9 for the family-owned record store. First Avenue will host the 50th Anniversary Electric Fetus Party featuring a concert lineup headlined by Real Estate.

The official in-store celebration is June 10, the day Electric Fetus turns 50! The store, located at 2000 4th Ave S, will feature a DJ, Glam Doll Donuts and more!

The store is also selling a limited edition Brickmania store replica set, as well as 50th anniversary merchandise featuring commemorative artwork created by local artist Kristi Abbott.
