FOSSTON, Minn. — The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident that left one man dead Sunday morning in Fosston, KVLY reports.
Officers responded to a 911 call of an assault on 8th Street NW at the intersection of N Mark Avenue, according to KVLY.
A second 911 call from a different residence reported someone trying to break into their house at the same intersection.
When authorities arrived, they found one man standing at the intersection and another man lying on the curbside, who was not breathing, and was later pronounced dead, according to KVLY.
The other man, a 29-year-old from Fergus Falls, was arrested and transported to the North West Regional Correctional Center.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.
The investigation is ongoing.
