But if you'd like to experience the Royal Wedding in a more festive atmosphere this Saturday, the Twin Cities have a few options available for you.
The early riser: Brit's Pub
Brit's Pub in Minneapolis is holding a watch party bright and early, with doors opening at 5 a.m. The ceremony will be shown at 6 a.m. on big screen projectors and 80-inch HDTVs with surround sound. The pub plans to have complimentary wedding cake, a breakfast menu, and drink specials starting at 8 a.m. Find more information here.

The leisurely late morning option: Merlins Rest Pub
For those who want to get a good night's sleep and then re-live the excitement just a touch later, there's always the Royal Wedding Tea Party at Merlins Rest Pub. The event goes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a rebroadcast of the wedding airing at 11 a.m. You can pay $45 for a Tea Setting, $55 for a Tea Setting and a glass of Champagne, or just come by and order off the brunch menu. Royal Wedding Party: Cambria Gallery
This Royal Wedding Party, hosted by Wandering Kitchen and Cambria, will offer guests fancy hors d'oeuvre, high tea and bubbles, and a best crown and fascinator contest. Afternoon tea: Westin Edina Galleria
The Westin Edina Galleria is presenting an Afternoon Tea: Edina Style in the hotel’s lobby bar, Prelude, from 12-1:30 p.m., 1:30-3 p.m. and 3-4:30 p.m. Reservations are recommended.
