MINNEAPOLIS — It's a dream come true for former Gopher Kenisha Bell.

"This has got to be the best thing that's ever happened to me," Bell said.

Wednesday night the Lynx selected the hometown star with the 30th pick in the WNBA draft.

Bell was surrounded by family, friends and Minnesota coach Lindsay Whalen when she saw the news.

The former Bloomington Kennedy standout brings plenty to the table, including tenacious defense, the ability to score at the rim and a non-stop motor.

At the U of M, Bell was a two-time, first-team Big 10 selection. She becomes the fourth-ever Gopher to be drafted by the Lynx.
