Former teacher sentenced to 15 years for sex with students

Former teacher and Minnesota resident Shannon Moser will have to serve 10 years of a 15 year sentence, with 5 years of supervised probation. She will also have to register as a sex offender.
Shannon Moser pleaded guilty August 27th to sexual assault, gross sexual imposition, and four counts of luring minors by computer.

FARGO, ND - A Cass County judge sentenced former West Fargo teacher Shannon Moser to 15 years Monday morning for having sexual contact with students and sending them nude photos and videos via social media.

Moser will have to serve 10 years with 5 years of supervised probation, and will also have to register as a sex offender.

The courtroom was packed with tearful family, friends, members of her church and faculty of West Fargo Schools. None of Moser's victims took the opportunity to make impact statements, but we did hear an emotional apology from Moser herself who said she feels like she 'doesn't deserve life or breath' for her actions.

Moser pleaded guilty August 27th to sexual assault, gross sexual imposition, and four counts of luring minors by computer. She was a teacher at Liberty Middle School starting in 2016 before resigning earlier this year.

Moser was originally also charged with two counts of a use of a minor in a sexual performance, but those charges were dismissed.
