Get Busy #LIVIN Music Festival

The #LIVIN Foundation is a nonprofit organization with a mission of raising awareness about depression/mental health issues in the hopes of preventing suicide.

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - September is National Suicide Prevention Month and the beginning of an annual tradition designed to bring more awareness and support to mental illness.

The 1st Annual Get Busy #LIVIN Music Festival in Elk River will take place on Saturday, Sept. 22 and will benefit the #LIVIN Foundation.

Twin Cities radio personality Paul Thomas (PT) founded the #LIVIN Foundation after losing his father to suicide in 2013. “My father, Thomas Hohag, was not only the most important and influential person in my life but also was an amazing husband, father, neighbor, and friend," he says. "Too often, when people die by suicide, their life is about how they died, not how they lived.”

The #LIVIN Foundation is a nonprofit organization with a mission of raising awareness about depression/mental health issues in the hopes of preventing suicide. #LIVIN works to promote a positive outlook on life through various activities, events and outreach. This is the message PT spreads when talking to local schools. He’s already told his story to more than 2,500 local high school students and joined KARE 11 News at 4 p.m. to spread his message of hope.

More details on the event are available online.
