ST PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Health reported 15 more flu-related deaths, including one pediatric death, in the week ending on March. 7.
In the most recent Weekly Influenza & Respiratory Illness Report, the total number of deaths this season has reached 110, including three pediatric deaths.
Officials say hospitalizations spiked by 263 in the reported week, bringing the total to 3,577 this flu season and school outbreaks are up to 871 this flu season.
According to officials, the flu is still being classified as widespread.
