MDH reports 11 more flu-related deaths

ST PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Health reported 11 more flu-related deaths in the week ending on March. 14.

In the most recent Weekly Influenza & Respiratory Illness Report, the total number of deaths this season has reached 119, including three pediatric deaths.

Officials say there were 177 news hospitalizations in the reported week, bringing the total to 3,847 this flu season and school outbreaks are up to 896 this flu season.

According to officials, the flu is still being classified as widespread.
