NERSTRAND, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) says that Nerstrand Meats and Catering is voluntarily recalling three jerky-style meat products due to "improper processing," after MDA conducted a routine inspection.
According to an MDA press release, neither the company nor the MDA are aware of any illness or negative reactions caused by these products.
This product recall includes the following Nerstrand products:
- Regular Beef Strips
- Cajun Beef Strips
- Smoked Turkey Strips
The recall applies to products produced between May 1, 2019 and Oct. 31, 2019.
The products in question were sold at the following locations.
- Nerstrand Meats and Catering, Nerstrand, MN
- HyVee, 1620 S Cedar Ave, Owatonna, MN
- HyVee, 1920 Grand St, NW, Faribault, MN
The MDA instructs anyone that may have purchased the specified products to throw away any remaining product or return the products to Nerstrand Meats and Catering in Nerstrand, Minnesota.
