St. Louis Park is now the first city in Minnesota to ban the sale of vaping products.
The city council voted 6-1 in favor of approving the ban Monday evening at a regular council meeting.
The ban will go into effect Feb. 1.
The decision to ban vaping products comes after alarming nation-wide health concerns related to vaping.
More than 2,500 cases have been reported across the nation. There have been 54 deaths, according to health officials.
