GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - A team of academics here in town is trying to fill the data void on mass shooters.

Over the last year they have compiled a mass violence database from every mass shooting in America since 1966.

Putting together all of this information about mass shooters are Dr. Jillian Peterson, a psychologist and assistant professor of criminology at Hamline, and Dr. James Densley, associate professor of criminal justice at Metro State.

KARE 11's Jana Shortal sat down with them to learn more about the research.
