Local shows explore hate crime and its aftermath

"The Laramie Project" explores the aftermath of the brutal slaying of Matthew Shepard, a young man who was murdered for being gay 20 years ago in Wyoming.

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Uprising Theatre Company presents "The Laramie Project Cycle," a rare pairing of the groundbreaking original, "The Laramie Project," and its companion piece "The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later" – which explores the aftermath of the brutal slaying of Matthew Shepard, a young man who was murdered for being gay 20 years ago in Wyoming.
