Smack Shack is celebrating its 7th annual Crayfest on Saturday August 3rd from noon to 7 p.m.

The event started as a way to further Smack Shack’s sustainability mission and to deplete the invasive crayfish in Woman Lake in northern Minnesota.

Each year Crayfest brings over 2,000 people to the North Loop for a day of fun, food and music.

Smack Shack will feature their signature crayfish boil at Crayfest. This fan favorite is served in a cardboard boat filled with crayfish corn on the cob, andouille sausage and potatoes. For those “less adventurous” eaters, hamburgers and brats will be available as well.

Attendees can also enjoy a selection of local beer and cider or a Hurricane, Smack Shack’s signature cocktail made with rum, pineapple, orange and cranberry juices, and a splash of grenadine.

Tickets for Crayfest are $50 in advance ($60 at the door) and can be purchased online at smack-shack.com through Friday, August 2, 2019.

Proceeds from Crayfest will benefit The Aliveness Project, helping people living with HIV and AIDS lead healthy and self-directed lives.

Live music includes Prince Tribute band Chase and Ovation, Steely Dan cover band, Steeling Dan, and local cover bands Heavy End and Cuba Libre.
