MINNEAPOLIS - 'Tis the season for pop-ups and a unique boutique is showcasing Northside vendors and artists.
The Northside Holiday Boutique showcases unique vendors and artists from the community of North Minneapolis, some of whom say they've had trouble attracting business.
Sabrina Jones is among the vendors who've settled in the skyway space above 6th and Nicollet Avenues.
"There are over 20 vendors featured here. It brings a wonderful perspective and a wonderful image of all of the artists that are here and they can showcase what they do," Jones said.
Saxophonist Antonio Jackson's renditions of popular Christmas songs helped attract customers. On Monday, he sold every single CD he had available.
DeVon Nolen hopes the skyway exposure brings more business to North Minneapolis.
"The rest of our community needs to be exposed to all of the cultural assets and wonderful gifts that we have in Minneapolis that sometimes get missed," Nolen said.
Here, shoppers can find clothing and jewelry, body care and hair products, crafts and art – and those last minute gifts.
