EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Two kittens that were up for adoption at two separate Twin Cities PetSmart locations have been reported stolen.

A spokesperson from Ruff Start Rescue, an animal rescue service that partners with PetSmart's adoption centers, says a kitten was taken from its kennel at the store's Eden Prairie location on the afternoon of Nov. 6.

According to the spokesperson, a man can be seen in store surveillance video unscrewing the kennel door and taking a kitten named Pencil Case before exiting the building. Pencil Case shared the kennel with her bonded sister, Teacher's Pet.

The first reported case of a stolen kitten from a PetSmart happened earlier this year at the St. Louis Park location. The kitten, Hawkins, was taken on June 27 and still hasn't been found.

Ruff Start is asking anyone with information about the stolen kittens to contact the organization via email at info@ruffstaterescue.org, or by calling 763-355-3981.
