ST PAUL, Minn. — Forepaugh's Restaurant in St. Paul has closed its doors for good.
The restaurant made the announcement on Facebook Tuesday afternoon, but the Forepaugh's voicemail states that they closed on Saturday.
Forepaugh's is located on Exchange Street in St. Paul's West Seventh neighborhood. It's known for its unique home in a historic 19th-century Victorian mansion.
"It is with great sadness that we announce the closing of Forepaugh's Restaurant," Tuesday's Facebook post read. "Thanks for 11 great years!!!!"
On the restaurant's voicemail, a recording thanks "all the corporations, companies, families, singles, couples that have come in and were good customers of Forepaugh's. We're gonna miss you all. You were like a family to us."
Forepaugh's lost its executive chef, Kyle Bell, to the flu in February. Bell was 32 years old and is survived by his wife, 3-year-old daughter and 3-month-old son.
"We were blessed with Kyle's passion, calm demeanor, leadership, resilience and craft," Forepaugh's said in a statement at the time.
The restaurant did not give an official reason for closing.
