Sunny Side Up: Jensen's Café in Burnsville

Jensen's Café opened its doors in 2005 and has been a Burnsville staple ever since.

BURNSVILLE, Minn. - In the late 1990s, Burnsville started making plans to build its own downtown. As the plans came together, two long-time restaurants saw that the corner of Burnsville Parkway and Nicollet was available.

That's when Brian Hehr and Doron Jensen decided, in 2004, to open a cafe in that location. Jensen's Café officially opened its doors in 2005.

The food industry runs in the family for Doron Jensen - his grandfather, Alvin, owned a cafe in Fremont, Nebraska for many years.

He passed down his "recipe for success," saying, "Hire the best people, buy the best products and deliver consistent, quality food."

It seems Jensen's Café has done just that, becoming a staple in Burnsville with their delicious food and welcoming atmosphere!

You told us we had to come here for our Sunny Side Up series, so Alicia Lewis and Ellery McCardle went to check it out!
