Home + Garden Show returns to downtown Minneapolis

The 'welcome sign of spring' is sure to inspire Twin Cities DIYers!

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota — The Minneapolis Home + Garden Show is circling back to the Minneapolis Convention Center. The annual event is from Wednesday, February 26 - March 1, 2020. More than 600 experts will sharing new ideas and practical advice. Visitors can choose from hundreds of exhibits featuring amazing innovative products and services.The Minneapolis Home + Garden Show also boasts great deals and shopping experiences related to home, gardening, remodeling, and home décor.

“Dirty Jobs” creator and host, Mike Rowe, is this year’s celebrity guest. Rowe is scheduled to appear on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. His Leap Day presentation will focus on debunking the myths and misperceptions about the skilled trades. Try a Trade sponsored by EPS Homes and Hennepin Technical College

Want to know the tricks of the trade and learn more about the skilled trades industry? Now is your chance to get hands-on experience in plumbing, woodworking, electrical, HVAC and other trades. The Idea Home

EPS Homes will create a “Forever Home” right inside the Convention Center. With everything from custom cabinets to innovative built-ins and the newest finds in furniture, accessories, and lighting design, all features of the Idea Home will show attendees how to create a happy and healthy environment. Furnishings are provided by HOM Furniture and landscaping from The Garden By The Woods

The Feature Gardens

Seven of the most talented landscapers from all over Minnesota will showcase their expertise with using the theme “Gardens Through the Decades” as inspiration.

Deck Wars

Back again for 2020, four local deck companies will show attendees how they can take their decks to the next level! Sponsored by TimberTech, these builders will compete for the title of Deck Wars Champion.


Garden + Home Stage

Professional planters and green-thumbs-in-training alike, prepare to cultivate your gardening know-how with Minnesota’s top outdoor experts. No matter your budget, style, or size of space, our experts will provide you with tips, tricks and inspiration to help make your gardening dreams a reality. The Barking Lot

As part of their curriculum, students from local high schools will build playhouses for display along the main aisle of the show. All playhouses will be auctioned off with 100% of proceeds benefitting Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity.

Annual Plant Sale

This annual event occurs on the last day of the show, Sunday, March 1, at 5 p.m. It’s a buying frenzy! Guests wait for all day to get bargains from the landscapers.
