Hundreds to run World Vision Global 6K

It's the world’s largest run/walk to provide clean water for tens of thousands of children.

PLYMOUTH, Minnesota — Love to run and help children? At least 1,000 participants from the Twin Cities will join thousands of people in more than 20 countries on Saturday, May 4, 2019 to bring clean water to 60,000 children and their families in developing countries. 

The World Vision’s Global 6K, the largest race of its kind, kicks off at 9 a.m. at Bethlehem Covenant Church, at 3141 43rd Avenue South in Minneapolis. The event will proceed down the river trail to 43rd Street then back to Bethlehem for the finish line. Onsite open registration is at 8:45 a.m. 

Every $50 registration fee for the Global 6K provides clean water to one person. Six kilometers (or approximately 3.7 miles) is the average distance people, usually women and girls, walk to fetch water for their families and homes.
