Picnic offers support to widows and their children

Dozens of women will set aside their personal grief to connect and comfort other widows.

PLYMOUTH, Minnesota —  

Sunday, June 23rd is “International Widows Day”. Experts say losing a spouse is the number one most stressful life changing event. Widow Might is a Twin Cities non-profit that provides community and resources to local widowed women.They group is launching Widows with Kiddos, a subgroup that focuses on widows with school aged children.

Widows with Kiddos' inaugural picnic is Sunday, June 23rd  at Minnehaha Regional Park, Wabun Park Picnic Shelter D in Minneapolis.
The event is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will include games, crafts, good conversation and much more. For more information about the picnic, click here.
