Winter sowing involves planting your seeds outdoors in miniature greenhouses during the winter and allowing them to germinate naturally in the spring.
Michelle Mero Riedel is a master gardener and volunteer instructor for the Minnesota State Horticultural Society. She dropped in on KARE 11 Saturday to offer some tips.
For more information about sowing seeds outdoors in the winter, viewers can watch Michelle’s winter sowing webinar through the Minnesota State Horticultural Society on Wednesday, February 1, from 6:30-8:00.
