CHANHASSEN, Minn. - GREASE is now playing on Chanhassen Dinner Theatres Main Stage through the fall.
Join Danny, Sandy and the whole gang at Rydell High for a high-octane party that entertains from start to finish. GREASE is a nostalgic and joy-filled evening loaded with jukebox jingles, bobby socks and greased-up hair.
The most musical is packed with '50s pop culture and unforgettable tunes: Summer Nights, We Go Together, Greased Lightning, Hopelessly Devoted To You, You’re The One That I Want and many more.
Kasano Mwanza, born in Lusaka, Zambia, plays the "Teen Angel." Mwanza is gaining a reputation as the breakout star of the show.
The Star Tribune called him and the song “Beauty School Dropout” a “showstopper.” Minnesota Public Radio said Kasano “came along and stole a show I thought had already been stolen.” Pioneer Press called him a “true delight.” Twin Cities Arts Reader called his performance “sassy” and “heart-stealing.”
Mwanza's album, States & Chapters, is for sale at the Chanhassen gift kiosk. He plays in local band Kasano & the Vybes.
