Wiffle Wars was created by Cities 97.1 Music Director Paul Fletcher and former NHL star Mark Parrish after several years of friends playing wiffleball in his backyard and more and more people asking to play.
Starting in 2017, Wiffle Wars expanded and moved to CHS field before a St. Paul Saints game and raised over $8,000 for United Heroes League. Based on the success of the inaugural tournament, the teams were expanded and in 2018, $11,085 was raised for the Hendrickson Foundation.
In 2019, Wiffle will include 4 teams of Minnesota athletes and media personalities trying their hand at wiffleball. Tickets can be purchased online and will include a reserved outfield ticket, a Saints hat and a $9 dollar donation benefitting Children's Minnesota. Join us for all of the Wiffle Wars action, then stay for the Saints game at 7 p.m.
Go to Wifflewars.com for a list of everyone playing in 2019, including some friendly faces from KARE 11, and to purchase tickets.
