ST PAUL, Minn. — You've worked full-time, part-time, or maybe even both. But have you ever had a fair-time job?
The Minnesota State Fair and its various vendors are searching for employees to work at the Great Minnesota Get-Together August 22 through September 2.
Today, job applicants are encouraged to attend the fourth annual Minnesota State Fair Job Fair to learn about this year's employment opportunities and apply for jobs in person.
It goes from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, at the Progress Center, which is located on the fairgrounds next to the Eco Experience exhibit.
State Fair officials say the line will start to form at 3 p.m. outside of the building and anyone who gets in line by 7:45 p.m. will be seen.
Job applicants must be at least 16 years old and must be available for all 12 days of the State Fair.
You don't need to bring a resume.
You also don't need to register for the job fair. However, you may register online to save time.
State Fair officials say more than 500 positions will be offered at the job fair with wages that range from $9.86 to $11 per hour.
Areas of work include food services, rides and games, barn attendants, public safety, retail sales, custodians, ticket sales, ticket collection, parking, and more.
If you can't make it to the job fair, you can contact or stop by the Employment Center. It's located on Winston Street and Como Ave.
