GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — Applications are now open for the 2020 Census, and the bureau is offering workers more than $20 per hour.

Hourly wages vary by county, but most Minnesota jobs start at $22.00 an hour, with Hennepin County offering a $25-$27.50 wage.

Most of the available jobs start in the late spring to early summer, and last for a few weeks. There are a variety of positions available, from office work to going door to door, talking with people who haven't filled out their Census forms.

Applicants do need to fluently speak, read and write English, but multi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Veterans may qualify for veterans preference in the hiring process.
