Random Acts of Kindness: Writing letters to troops

KARE 11 asked people to send us their letters to troops and third graders in Faribault responded in a humbling way.

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — During Random Acts of Kindness week, we got an email from Erin Knudson. She’s a third grade teacher at Roosevelt Elementary School in Faribault, Minn.

Knudson said her students plan to write letters to troops. She told us that every month, her classes do random act of kindness.

When we showed up, we were surprised to see not just one class but three others writing letters.

KARE 11 is working with the Minnesota National Guard to get these letters to Minnesota troops deployed overseas.

A few weeks later, the same third-grade class sent thank you notes to Ellery McCardle at her KARE 11 office.
