GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — Wednesday is National Clerihew Day!

Haven't heard of it? You're not alone. In fact, we had to look it up ourselves.

A "Clerihew" is a fun type of four-line biographical poem originally penned by Edmund Clerihew Bentley. It's (loosely) similar to a limerick or a haiku.

We thought we'd write a few about our KARE 11 Sunrise anchors - and ask you to send in your own, about anyone you want!

Below are our poems about Kris Laudien, Gia Vang, Sven Sundgaard and Alicia Lewis to get you started. Here you can find a more detailed description of the "poem rules."

Send your poems to us on Facebook or Twitter, or email them to sunrise@kare11.com, and we'll share some Wednesday, July 10, on KARE 11 Sunrise!

His name is Kris.
To him, anchoring the news is bliss.
He watches sports for fun,
and cheers every Twins run.

Our new anchor Gia
is really glad to meet ya’.
She likes good food
and drinks that are brewed!

A meteorologist named Sven
sits in the weather den.
When it comes to predicting a storm,
you know he will never misinform.

And then there's Alicia
There's no one else 'sweetah.'
If you’re worried about your commute,
she'll find you a new route!
