AMBER alert issued for girl, 13, taken from WI home

An Amber Alert continues this morning for a 13-year-old Barron, Wisconsin girl believed to have been taken from the residence where her parents were found dead Monday morning. The Miami Police Department says she "may have been seen in the area of N.W. 27 Ave and 11 St. If it was her, she was in a black Ford Explorer with a possible WI plate of I60WER. If you have any information please call 911 immediately." No suspects have been identified.

A car was pulled out from a retention pond in Chaska Sunday night, where the bodies of two missing women were also found.

Services today for two cousins who died over the weekend

Services are today for two cousins who died this weekend when their vehicle went into a retention pond near Highway 41 in Chaska. Their disappearance early Saturday prompted a large search until their bodies were found Sunday night. The medical examiner says the 19-year-old women died of accidental drowning, but police still aren't releasing information on 'how' the vehicle ended up in the water.

Vikings lose rising star rookie CB Mike Hughes to torn ACL

Minnesota Vikings cornerback Mike Hughes has a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, ending a promising rookie season after six games. Coach Mike Zimmer confirmed the diagnosis on Monday, after Hughes was hurt in the fourth quarter of Minnesota’s 27-17 win over Arizona on Sunday. With Terence Newman now on the coaching staff, undrafted rookie Holton Hill will move up on the depth chart, with Xavier Rhodes, Waynes and Alexander the top three cornerbacks.

Saudi government considering plan to admit that writer Jamal Khashoggi was killed in consulate

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo lands in Saudi Arabia on a trip over disappearance of Saudi writer Jamal Khashoggi. Saudi Arabia's government is discussing a plan to admit that missing journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, three people with knowledge of the situation tell NBC News. According to two of the individuals, the Saudis are putting together an explanation that would absolve Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the putative leader of Saudi Arabia, of responsibility by giving him plausible deniability to say he didn't order the killing and didn't know about it.

Judge tosses Stormy Daniels' defamation suit against Trump

A federal judge dismissed Stormy Daniels' defamation lawsuit against President Donald Trump on Monday, saying the president made a "hyperbolic statement" against a political adversary when he tweeted about a composite sketch the porn actress' lawyer released. Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, sued Trump in April after he said a composite sketch of a man she said threatened her in 2011 to keep quiet about an alleged affair with the real estate mogul was a "con job."
