EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — A fierce matchup is happening on the football field at Eden Prairie High School Friday night.
The Eagles will host the Wayzata Trojans as both teams battle it out for a win. Going into it, both teams are undefeated at 4-0. This game is the Spotlight Game of the Week in the KARE 11 Prep Sports Extra.
"EP has a fabulous defense. Wayzata has a fabulous defense. Maybe the edge in this game will go to the Wayzata offense who seems to have a few more playmakers than Eden Praiarie, but either way this is going to be one of the best matchups maybe of the season so far," said Randy Shaver.
Wayzata's Head Football Coach Lambert Brown says his team is working on playing fast.
"Right now, you know, our goal is to try to stay focused on what we can try to control. They're a good team, we know that they're going to be prepared and ready to play and so we're trying to focus on us and what we need to do to continue a formula that we believe has been successful," said Brown.
The game starts at 7:00 p.m. and there's expected to be a large crowd in Eden Prairie.
