PRIOR LAKE, Minn. — It's Friday, which means a big football game in Prior Lake. The Lakers will be visited by the Wayzata Trojans. KARE 11's Randy Shaver has chosen this game as one to watch. He calls it the "Battle of the Unbeatens" in class 6A.
Both teams have a 2-0 record this season. Shaver says some key players to watch for include: Blake Whaley of Prior Lake and Loshiaka Roques of Wayzata.
"These two teams have very good talent on both sides of the football and we expect this game to be very close," said Shaver.
Friday morning, KARE 11 Sunrise's Ellery McCardle and Alicia Lewis are in Prior Lake to talk with students and athletes about tonight's game on their turf. They're also highlighting some of the fun things to do in Prior Lake, suggestions made my fellow Sunrisers on social media.
Tonight's game starts at 7:00 p.m. and highlights will be shown in the KARE 11 Prep Sports Extra at 10:00 p.m.
