MINNEAPOLIS — A man died after he was thrown from his motorcycle after striking a tree Thursday afternoon in north Minneapolis.
According to Minneapolis police, the crash at around 2:20 p.m. in the area of the 5100 block of Humboldt Avenue North. Officials say the victim, who is believed to be in his 30s, was dead when they arrived on the scene. Early investigations indicate the rider left the roadway and struck a tree. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Police say there was no pursuit and it's too early to tell if alcohol or speed was a factor.
